[18F]Fludeoxyglucose is the most common radiotracer used in clinical PET imaging. [18F]FDG PET is mostly and very successfully used for the diagnosis, staging and follow-up of diverse types of cancer. Uptake of [18F]FDG is an important indicator in evaluating the tumor response to therapy . [18F]FDG PET is also used in the evaluation of cardiac perfusion.
